Why MLB?
I've been going to Major League Baseball games for as long as I can remember. My first ticket stub says June 16, 1988, Oakland A's vs Kansas City Royals. I was 11. Thanks to my parents, I've been hooked on baseball every since!

During my childhood, I was always an A's fan. My parents would take us to several A's games a year. My favorite player growing up was Carney Lansford, thrid baseball of the A's. My mom was also a Braves fan, and I kept my eye on them as well. As I got older, I started watching more and more Braves games on TV, but didn't attend my first Braves game until April 22, 1997 in San Francisco vs the Giants (the Braves won by the way, 4-0 behind Greg Maddux).

As soon as I was able to take myself to games, my friends and I started attending more than 20 A's games a year. There were also Giants, Modesto (A), Sacramento (AAA) and various other games thrown in. My record was 59 games on season. We also went to Spring Training in Arizona several years, and I've made trips to Arizona and San Diego for baseball. I was an A's season ticket holder for 5 years before moving to Arizona in 2005.

Now that I live in Arizona, I don't get to as many games, but I do get to see a lot of Spring Training games, which is GREAT!

Baseball is more than just a game to me. I've met a ton of great friends through going to baseball games. And it's a great way to spend time with my current friends. I'd almost rather spend time at a baseball game than at any other place :)
