About:
Maurice is best know for his Emmy winning role of Sonny Corinthos on ABC's General Hospital. Maurice has nominated for three Emmy Awards during his time on GH. He won his first award for Lead Actor in 2003.

Maurice began his career on All My Childen as Nico Kelly in 1987 where he stayed for three years. He has also appeard in such films as Ruby, My Crazy Life (Mi Vida Loca), Operation Splitsville, Restraining Order and Crystal Clear. He has also stared in the TV movies Lucy and Desi: Before the Laughter, Her Wicked Ways and To Face her Past.
He can continue to be seen daily on General Hospital as the sexy mobster Sonny Corinthos. He has played in this role for 10 of the last 11 years.

I first became a fan of Maruice when he was on AMC when I was only 10 years old. My mom got me into soaps EARLY. I was always taken by him. Even at a young age I could see what a great actor he was. Too soon he left AMC and I didn't get to see him again till a few years later on the Lucy and Desi movie. You got to see a bit of comedy from him, but mostly the firey actor that he was. He joined GH as strip club owner/mob boss Sonny Corinthos. Despite his unsavory ties, there is something that draws you to Sonny. I know it's because Maurice is such a fine actor, and lets Sonny's charm shine though. He's such an amazing talent and I'm glad to be able to run this fanlisting and show my appriciation!
