Jurassic Park is based on the Michael Crichton book of the same name. It was released in 1993. Jurassic Park is the invention of wealthy showman/business man John Hammonds. He finds a way to extract dino dna from mosquitos trapped in amber. With his newly bread dinosaurs, he wants to open a dinosaur theme park. Before the lawyers will sign off on the park, he must get endorsed by dino experts (Drs. Grant, Sadler and Malcolm).

As with any money making idea, someone wants to steal it. Enter Denis Nedry. In his rush to escape the approaching storm and get off the island with his millions in stolen dino embroys, he disables the island security systems. With no fences, the dinosaurs have free reigh on the island.

In a race to escape the island with their lives, not only are the mechnical security features not working, but also the fail safes they bred the dinosaurs with have failed as well. Dr. Malcolm's quote of "Life Finds a Way" soon comes true as signs of dinosaurs breading are found throughout the island.
