Why the Atlanta Braves?
Growing up I was always a huge baseball fan. The A's were the #1 team of choice in our house, but my mom always had a soft spot in her heart for the loveable loser Atlanta Braves. Because of her, I started following them too. As I got older, I started watching more and more Braves games on TV, my favorite players were David Justice, Greg Maddux and Ryan Klesko. I didn't get to attend my first Braves game until April 22, 1997 in San Francisco vs the Giants (the Braves won by the way, 4-0 behind Greg Maddux). Since that time, I've gotten to see many more Braves games in person...in San Francisco, Oakland, Arizona and San Diego. I still haven't been able to see the Braves in Atlanta, but hopefully in the near future!
